Welcome to St. Joseph Middle School Social Studies/Religion and Eighth Grade Homeroom!
My name is Mrs. Kathy Brunstein and I have been teaching at St. Joseph School for 24 years and teaching in the Diocese of Oakland for a total of 38 years. I am also a proud 1972 graduate of St. Joseph School!
The Eighth Grade year is always a fun and exciting one. We attend Caritas Creek Environmental Camp, explore the different high school options, and grow in appreciation of each other and for our time spent at St. Joseph School. It is also a time of spiritual growth where our students develop a better sense of what it means to live a Christ-centered life. We put this concept of living a Christ-centered life into action through stewardship in Service Learning opportunities in our school, parish, local and global communities.
The experiences our students have throughout their years here, lead them to what characterizes St. Joseph School graduates as being different. Whether our children go off to a public high school or to a Catholic high school, our mission is that our graduates will be distinctive in their character as active people of faith, effective communicators, life-long learners, and socially responsible community members.
