“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires…” - unknown
Born and raised between Hercules and San Francisco most of youthful days. Graduated from St. Joseph Elementary Pinole, Saint Mary’s College High School Berkeley, Holy Names University and Samuel Merritt University, ending, but not limited to, my Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
My passions are in education and science. The instructional background includes as an adult educator for various medical and skin care trainings for over 20 plus years, simultaneously coaching high school/club volleyball, in addition to working as an educator at Summit Public Schools.
My mission as a middle school science teacher is to inspire students/young people/etc, develop scientific vocabulary, teach the scientific “tools of the trade,” and systematically create testable hypotheses. The goal is to engage students to utilize their innate talents to explore different perspectives to create opportunities for observation and experimentation.
If COVID taught me anything… It's that through my love of kids (as I have five), and the influence of good education (as I was truly fortunate to experience) a real drive to inspire was born.
